From his early fascination with technology to becoming one of the most promising no-code systems engineers, Bright has shown remarkable dedication and talent. His passion for web development and automation has not only landed him a remote position with a major client in Canada but also made him a key figure in our mentorship program.

What stands out about Bright is his ability to solve complex problems with a blend of technical skill and creativity. Can you tell us a little about yourself? What sparked your interest in technology and web development at such a young age?

My name is Bright Temple, I’m from Okrika LGA in Rivers State. I’m the kind of person who loves to get something done, whether it is difficult, simple, or out of my niche.

I have a natural way of learning anything concerning tech. I have critical thinking, systems thinking, and troubleshooting skills, and I can adapt to any environment. I have always been fascinated by how things work, especially when it comes to technology.

As a child, I loved taking apart gadgets to see their inner workings. My interest in web development started when I created a simple website for an online store where people can buy and order clothing and accessories for both adults and children.

The ability to create something functional and visually appealing from scratch was exciting, and that’s what sparked my journey into technology.

How did you first hear about the KD Squares mentorship program, and what made you decide to join?

I heard about the program from the founders, who are brothers. They spoke highly of the support and learning opportunities available. I decided to join because I’m excited about technology and wanted to improve my skills and gain insights from experienced professionals in the tech field. The structured guidance and community aspect were also very appealing.

You have a talent for building complex automation with tools like Zapier, Make, and Go High Level. Can you share an example of a challenging project you worked on and how you tackled it?

One challenging project involved automating a customer payment system process for a client. The goal was to create a payment system where, whenever a customer made a payment or an offer, the payment should be processed and visible on their payment platform.

Additionally, notifications should be sent for subscription payments, full-time payments, or failed payments through our communication channels.

I used Zapier and Make to connect different platforms and created custom workflows to ensure seamless data flow. The biggest challenge was handling exceptions and errors, but with the guidance of my brothers and workmates, I was able to solve the error problem I was facing.

What has your experience been like working with the KD Squares team? Are there any particular moments or lessons that stand out to you?

Working with the team has been incredibly rewarding. They are supportive and always willing to share their knowledge. One standout moment was when we successfully launched a complex project that I was part of. The collaborative effort and the sense of accomplishment reinforced the importance of teamwork and persistence. A key lesson I learned was to always seek feedback and continuously improve.

Congratulations again on landing a remote job with one of our major clients in Canada. How do you feel about this new opportunity, and what are you most excited about?

Thank you! I'm thrilled about this new opportunity. It feels like a significant milestone in my career. I'm most excited about the chance to work on innovative projects and learn from a diverse team. This role will allow me to apply my skills in a new environment and contribute to meaningful projects, which is incredibly motivating.

How do you think your time in the mentorship program has contributed to your personal and professional growth?

The mentorship program has been vital in my growth. Personally, it has boosted my confidence and helped me develop a more structured approach to problem-solving.

Professionally, it has expanded my skill set and provided valuable industry insights. The program's emphasis on real-world projects and continuous learning has prepared me well for the challenges in my career.

You're known for being hard-working and dedicated. How do you balance your work life with your love for playing football (soccer)?

Balancing work and personal interests can be challenging, but I make it a priority. I schedule my work tasks efficiently and ensure I allocate time for soccer. Playing soccer helps me unwind and stay physically active, which in turn improves my focus and productivity at work. It's all about finding the right balance and making time for what you love.

What are your future goals, both in your career and personal life? Where do you see yourself in the next few years?

In my career, I aim to take on more leadership roles and work on cutting-edge projects that make a positive impact. I also want to continue learning and staying updated with the latest technologies. I hope to travel more and explore different cultures. In the next few years, I see myself as a well-rounded professional contributing to innovative solutions and making a difference in the tech community.

What advice would you give to other young aspiring developers who are looking to start their careers in technology?

My advice is to stay curious and keep learning. Technology is constantly evolving, so it's important to be adaptable. Don’t be afraid to take on challenging projects and seek out mentorship opportunities. Building a strong foundation in coding and problem-solving is crucial.

Also, networking with other developers and being part of a community can provide support and open up new opportunities.

I'm a carpe diem kind of person, so I live one day at a time. The future will figure itself out. I plan to continue honing my skills in web development and automation and explore new technologies. In my career, I want to keep growing and take on new challenges. I just want to enjoy life while doing great work.
